How can I be sure that the hat I purchase will fit? We take special care in instructing you how to measure your head for a proper fit. Basically you take a tape measure and place it securely, but not tightly, over your forehead and around the largest part of the back of your head. Ask yourself, "Does this feel like the proper place a hat would sit on my head and be comfortably secure?" The measurement will probably be anywhere from 21"-24". |
Do you make custom-made hats? We are pleased to offer our services for custom, one-of-a-kind hats. If you have a wedding, garden party, horseracing/polo event, or any other reason to wear a very special headpiece, may we have the opportunity of creating for you? You may email (jan@hatshatshats.com) or call (910.397.9099) us for pricing, timeline, and style options. |
What is your privacy policy? We never sell, distribute, or otherwise provide any information you give us to outside parties. This includes email addresses, telephone numbers, street/p.o. box, anything. We respect your privacy! |
How can I pay for my hat? That Hat! accepts checks, money orders, Mastercard/Visa. Checks require a 10 day clearance period before your hat is shipped. |
How can I learn to make my own hats? We're glad you asked us! Jan Wutkowski teaches hatmaking classes several times a year. Check out the classes page to find out the details. Hope you can join us for the next one. |
How quickly will I receive my hat after I order it? Our hats and veils ship out USPS Priority/Certified/Insured. If you need rush service we have accounts set up with FedEx and UPS. Shipping/handling/insurance rates are not included in our hat fees. You will be given a shipping fee upon acceptance of your order. |
What is your return policy? Custom-made hats are not refundable since they are made strictly to your specifications. We will spend a great deal of time with you before the start of a project to ensure your satisfaction with the end product. |
